Artist Bio
Damian Cazaly is an award winning and prolific Artist specialising in Mural and Street Art. For the past decade he has been creating his unique large scale murals around Melbourne’s Inner North as well as interstate and internationally. His style beautifully illuminates Australia’s abundant flora and fauna and captures a deeper soulful reflection with his Portraiture, while bringing these together with his trademark psychedelic and dreamlike thread swirling through vibrant fractals and mandela’s. Damian’s work continues to grow in demand through private, council and business commissions. To date he has completed large commissions for The Richmond Football Club, Box Hill and Maroondah Hospitals and Little Creatures Brewery to name a few. He has painted large murals for businesses such as The Foreigner Brewing Company, Methodist Ladies Collage, Collarts (Australian Collage of the Arts), Bonehead Brewery, The Green Room Flowers, Engine Property Group as well as many other private commissions under his belt. One of his most recent works in December 2021 was a large scale Mural in Melbourne's CBD commissioned by the new Hyatt Centric as a project to reflect the history of the site and showcase the artefacts salvaged from an archeological dig. He’s has won the Rochester Mural Festival, been a finalist in the Gallipoli Art Prize on its Centenary year as well as 4 times finalist in the Sheffield International Muralfest, where he took home the People’s Choice Award in 2014. He’s also been a part of Q Banks Artists residency for 6 weeks in the remote town of Queenstown on Tasmania’s West Coast.
